Costuming

Sewing and Costuming have become very recent loves to my life. Since it is considered a feminine art; I was deprived and shamed for my interest during childhood. However; it is now a way to connect with who I am and my point of view as an artist. I began learning and working with textiles as a response to the lack of availability of garments for non conventional bodies and the use of non-conventional materials. I am ever learning and appreciating their construction. I especially have a growing interest in Historical reconstruction and conservation.
